Question by Akbar Ali: How can this be legal and other things not?
Depression is caused by a toxin and or multiple toxins that attack our bodies from the outside and the inside, and affect our human parts. They enter in our bodies from many sources (Natural and Unnatural). If we breathe in, lets say cow dung on a constant basis, who is not to say, that didn’t cause a physical and emotional disease because of it?

The definition of Medicine:
1. The science which relates to the prevention, cure, or alleviation of disease.

What word doesn’t look proper? Alleviation. But Why? Because Alleviate is to Alleviate and Cure is to Cure. Now it makes sense.

If Medical Research – in connection with Pharmaceutical companies would just gear more towards the root cause of things, wouldn’t they be able to find a cure(s) and Prevent thing from happening? Why are we, the American people, allowing them to create band aids and alleviating medicines like Tylenol, Advil, and many more? It boots up our toxins intake. Who wants to be depressed? Who wants to keep having headaches? Get my point? We want to stop having issues so we can move on with their lives again. Why are we allowing them to do this to us? Better yet, Why should we?

Cigs have many toxins. Why isn’t that illegal, when they know it causes damages In the Past, Present, and in the Future. Past = Damages sperm = unhealthy to semi unhealthy sperm. Present = cant breathe, physical pain, and then in the future = Cancers and diseases emotions.

Notice the motives and how clear it all makes sense now. So we have this legal – Freedom to smoke. Why shouldn’t weed be legal then too?

If you detoxify your body naturally at least 2 to 3 times a week then your body begins to repair and rebuild at a slow but steady pace.

The detox treatment in Oklahoma is definitely one of the most important parts of the entire addiction treatment program in the state. Most programs for addiction treatment in the state include the detox treatment as the primary process of the treatment and the rest of the program follows suit. Let us understand the detox treatment in Oklahoma a little better.

What is the Detox Treatment Program?

The detox treatment program is a program wherein the person’s body is cleansed from the substances that accumulate in it due to the addiction. When a person has been using a particular addictive substance for a period of time, there are high chances that the substance would not be metabolized properly and this could create a toxic buildup in the body of the person. Over time, this toxicity would hamper with the normal working of the body and create health complications. The main intention of the detox treatment in Oklahoma and elsewhere is to free up this toxic accumulation in the body.

How is Detox Treatment in Oklahoma conducted?

There is a definite process for conducting the detox treatment program in Oklahoma. When a person is put into this program, the first thing that is done is to make the person abstain completely from the substance. This is done in an inpatient treatment center so that the person can be constantly monitored for the abstinence and for the progress of the treatment.

Once the abstinence begins, the person will develop the withdrawal pangs within one or two days depending on how intense the addiction has been with the patient and the nature of the addiction. This can take on a very intense form in a very short while. That is the reason constant medical supervision is provided.

There are two aims that detox medication tries to achieve. The first intention of this medication is to stop or reduce the craving the person has for the substance. This is done through special medication that can target the same areas of the person’s brain as the addictive substance does. Due to this, as long as that medication is kept on, the person won’t feel the craving for that substance. One example here is methadone which is used in the heroin detox treatment in Oklahoma. Methadone is an opiate just like heroin is and it has almost the same influence on the person’s brain as heroin. Hence, when a person takes methadone, the urge for heroin is allayed.

The second purpose of the medication that is provided during the detox treatment is to reduce the pain and the effects of the withdrawal. Depending on the nature and the intensity of the addiction, the patient will face several problems such as pains and aches, muscle cramps, giddiness and dizziness, hunger pangs, etc. Antidepressants and painkillers may be provided to mitigate these effects.

The detox treatment in Oklahoma will continue till the time all the withdrawal effects are removed from the patient. This can take anywhere from three days to three weeks, depending on how intense the person’s addiction is. In normal cases, the patient will be out of the detox in three to seven days, but if the addiction has been for a very long time, or if there are some other bodily or psychiatric complications coming in the way, or if the addiction is of a very strong substance such as methamphetamine or heroin, then there is a possibility that the detox will go on for a long period of time.

What are the Benefits of the Detox Treatment in Oklahoma?

The primary benefit of the detox treatment is to purge all the toxic materials from the body of the person. This is very important if the person is looking at complete recovery. Without removing these substances, health complications can occur at any time in life, even years after the person has worked his or her own way out of the addiction. A good example of this is the possible occurrence of the fatal cirrhosis of the liver in people who have given up an alcohol addiction years ago.

But there is another very important reason why the detox treatment is considered to be a vital element of the addiction treatment program in Oklahoma. When the substance is completely removed from the body of the person, there is a definite chance that the person will lose the craving for the substance. This is not possible even if the faintest trace of the substance remains in the person’s body. That is the reason detox has to be conducted, whether the person is physically and mentally able for it or not.

In most instances, when a layperson uses the term ‘drug detox’ it is done with a sense of ignorance. People are taking the detox procedure quite lightly, not understanding what it means. When someone is into an addiction, there is mention of putting them through a drug detox treatment, but hardly do the planners of the treatment (which in most cases is the family of the patient) know what this treatment will entail and in what ways it will benefit the patient’s condition. There is also ignorance about the fact that there are different kinds of drug detox that prevail and that choosing the right option from among them could make the difference between recovery and relapse. Here we try to shed light on some aspects of drug detox as regards to what an average layperson must know about it.

What is Drug Detox?

Detox or detoxification simply means removing toxins from a person’s body by completely cleansing it from within. This is done in several instances, and drug detox is just one subset of the entire treatment genre. People who are obese might undergo drug detox or people who have digestive problems might. Here the intention is to clear all the unwanted materials accumulated in their bodies that might be a result of faulty digestive processes. In a similar manner, people who are into drug addiction will also be detoxified, i.e. their bodies will be purged of all the residual toxins that will have been produced by the addictive substance they were prone to consume.

What is the Difference between Drug Detox and Drug Addiction Treatment?

Drug detox is an important part of the entire drug addiction treatment process in most parts of the US. Most states will have a program that revolves around the drug detox treatment. But it must be remembered that the drug detox program will only cleanse the body of the person from the addictive substance. It is a biological cleansing process. The process will not be able to remove the addiction from the person’s mind. This is the reason the detox process is never a complete treatment program. Though there are centers that provide only a detox program, it must be noted that these treatments would not be complete.

In order to have a complete drug addiction treatment program, the person must have a detoxification done, but it must also be followed with a strong aftercare process. This aftercare process will counsel the patient on how he or she can permanently stay away from the temptation of using the substance. This is what actually counts of the recovery; because the patient will be trained on how to remain addiction-free for as long as possible.

How is the Drug Detox Program implemented?

Most centers have a common pattern of implementing the drug detox program. First the person is analyzed to check for any health complications or mental issues that might come in the way of the implementation of the program. If there are any of these problems, the patient might be led to alternative therapies.

Once the diagnoses are all done, the patient is put into an isolated setting, far removed mentally from their families and friends. Total abstinence from the substance is commenced. Some centers will also begin a healthy lifestyle program at this point. But, within one or two days, the person’s body will begin asking for the substance of addiction. Depending on the nature of the addiction, the person will feel a strong reaction from the body. This is known as the withdrawal process.

This is the reason why medical supervision is important. The patient will be monitored for the withdrawal process and suitable medicinal therapies will be begun. The patient will be given medication that can reduce the temptation for the substance and can help to stabilize the body and bring it back to a normal state. In most cases of addiction, the withdrawal process is gone in three or four days, but if the addiction of the person is severe, it might even take as much as a month to pull the person completely out of the withdrawal.

What are the Purposes of the Drug Detox?

The basic purpose of the drug detox treatment is definitely to purify the person’s body from the accumulated toxins so that it can stay healthier and future health complications can be prevented too. But there is another important reason also. By detoxification, the substance is completely removed from the person’s body and that really helps the person to come out of the craving for the substance. This goes a long way in bringing a speedier recovery to the person.

b) Consult your physician before undertaking a body detox plan and make sure it’s safe for you. It’s only wise to do so as you may not be aware of certain underlying medical conditions that may be worsened due to changes brought about as a result of following a body detox program.

c) DO NOT stop any medication you might be on to implement a body detox plan. This method cleanses, it doesn’t cure any health problems you might be facing.

e) It’s best if you don’t undertake such a plan if you’re in an important stage of your life and are likely to be undergoing large amounts of stress.

f) Try taking a vacation for the duration of your body detox plan, especially if you work in such an area where it might have a negative impact on the benefits of such a plan.

During your body detox plan, you will be advised to stay away from sugar, dairy products, starchy foods, foods with preservatives and certain cereals. On your menu will be plenty of water, of course, rice, fish, fruits and vegetables and maybe even herbal teas.
