Obviously, it depends how much they weigh to begin with. There are huge differences if a person weighing 60kg goes on the diet and a person weighing 200 goes on the diet (the heavier person would lose more) It also depends on variables like exercise. I would say for an average pesron no more than a few kilos a month.

i’m aiming to get to about 160 pounds at 5’8. i’m currently 219.8 pounds, so i have about 60 pounds to lose. i’m doing the diet out of The Raw Food Detox Diet: The Five-Step Plan for Vibrant Health and Maximum Weight Loss by Natalia Rose, and i just altered the recipes to make them vegan. anyways, i’m wondering how much weight i can expect to lose and how fast?

yea, i’m a vegetarian but ALMOST vegan, like the only thing i eat is like cheese sometimes, but i’m cutting that out now.

I have read this book. It’s super good to eat raw foods as they contain all their nutrients. Being vegan means virtually no saturated animal fat so cutting this out alone will help you lose weight. I am vegetarian and get a lot of my calories from dairy, I would weigh less if I cut them out completely. You should lose weight rapidly especially if you exercise. Probably 2-5 lbs a week. Drink water and stay below 1300 calories, it will melt off fast! good luck.

Question by baby: Am I losing too much weight? Is detoxifying my body silly?
so i used to be chubby, my high weight was 181 at 5’6 but hypothyroidism had like 70% to do with that, and so i’m on thyroid medication which now regulates my metabolism and i’m trying to keep the weight off that i’ve lost. i do work out, and i do eat very healthily. right now i’m 114, still 5’6. i’m not totally crazy about working out but i still do it, but i also have little ticks. for example, right now i’m trying to do detoxify my body by doing a 30 day liquid fast, and i’ve been dropping so much weight. i’ve hit 108, and i love being slim. i’ve been drinking red line energy drinks, and the 5 hour energy drinks along with taking adderall. i also smoke weed, and too prevent munchies i’ll smoke a couple cigarettes (i dont smoke cigarettes). but before my diet only consisted or raw vegetables, fruits, and protein. i love the weight loss, but i realize it’s unhealthy, will i continue to lose weight? if so, i’ll stop immediately, but i do need a prediction. and i do exercise, i go swimming 3x a week and in august i will be doing volleyball.
so basically my daily diet consists of red line, 5 hour energy shots, adderall, thyroxidine, maybe coffee, water and thats about it. but it does regulate my sleeping. oh and if i get hungry i eat like plants, like mint or oregano, or a couple table spoons of freshly ground nutmeg if i want to trip a little.
basically,, i know it unhealthy, but i need to know if im going to continue to drop weight cause then i need to stop.

You will keep losing weight if you keep doing this, but not the kind of weight you want to lose. You’ll be losing a lot of muscle, which gives the toned look on slim people. You’ll most likely look smaller but still flabby.

The longer you do this, the more weight you’ll put back on when you do decide to start eating again, and lots of it will be fat. Many people that do these fasts end up heavier than when they started.

Stop the fast immediately and work on getting a healthy diet and exercise plan. Weight loss will be slower, but you’ll feel a lot better and you’ll like how you look much more.

My cousin asked me to be her bridesmaid. ‘Till now I’ve been procrastinating. I have 3 weeks to lose weight. If I:
1. eat 2-3 small meals a day
2. exercise everyday for 1 hour
3. take detox pills everyday
4. drink 10-12 glasses of water a day
5. restrict eating after 6
I really need your help, guy! Maximum points!!

There’s really no correct answer to this because it all depends on how well your body responds to the detox pills. I’ve lost at least 5 lbs in the last few days on it, so if your body reacts the same way within three weeks you can lose upwards of 15lbs if there’s that much waste still inside.

Foods to Eat
Use organic fruits and vegetables as they have less pollutants and chemicals. Organic food also has a higher nutritional content than non-organic commercialized produce.
Basically your diet should mostly consist of juiced, raw, frozen, or lightly steamed fruits and veggies. Corn and avocados should be avoided, white potatoes can be eaten only in moderation. Eating a variation each day will ensure you are getting enough vitamins and keep this diet as interesting as possible.
Foods to Avoid
Here is a brief list of foods to avoid while on this plan. To get the full detoxing effects, stick to the diet and be sure that you don’t cheat!
Dairy and animal products
Bread, pasta, grains, cereal
Chocolate
Nuts
Sauces
Pickled vegetables or canned fruit
Alcohol and cigarettes
Coffee and tea (except green and herbal)
Meal Plans
- Breakfast
Variations of fruit or fruit puree are great for breakfast. They are nutritious, filling and the natural sugars will give you energy to get through the morning.
To make a fruit puree, cut up your fruit and place in a pot on the stove with a small amount of water. Cover and leave it on a low heat until the fruit is soft. Now just throw it in the blender and add a squeeze of fresh lemon to taste. I also like to add a little cinnamon.
My favorite blends contain apples, plums, nectarines, pears and berries, but really anything goes. You can also mix it up a bit by using your blender to achieve different consistencies.
- Lunch & Dinner
For your main two meals its important to keep calories low but nutrition high. A vegetable puree soup is the answer. This will give you energy to get through the day and all the nutrients you need.
Cut up your vegetables, add approximately one cup of vegetable stock, and cover on a low heat until the vegetables are soft. Now throw it in the blender and spice it up with a raw clove of garlic or jalapeño pepper (only a little as it’s very spicy!). I also like to add cilantro and a little olive oil.
I like to experiment with different vegetables for this soup. Great ideas are spinach and broccoli, collard greens, zucchini, onion, carrots and sweet potatoes. Beans also make a great addition. I like to use chickpeas but be sure they are organic.
- Desserts & Snacks
This diet can sometimes leave you feeling hungry (it wouldn’t be a diet if it didn’t!), so its important to have some filling snacks around for when you need a boost.
Fruit smoothies are a great options for dessert or a snack between meals. You need to buy packs of frozen organic fruits from your supermarket. These lock all the goodness into the fruit and are very convenient. I actually find that frozen bananas taste much better in a smoothie than fresh ones so I peel ripe bananas and put them in a ziplock bag in the freezer.
Just add ice and a little water, then blend away! I like blends of blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and banana. Its really up to you to find a few combinations that you love. Be creative!
- Drinks
Freshly squeezed juices are very detoxing and a great way to get some condensed nutrition into your body. Fresh juice is also packed full of enzymes which are fundamental in maintaining good health and preventing disease.
Some ideas for recipes – try playing around with these super-healthy ingredients. Cucumbers, apples, carrot, ginger, garlic, beet and broccoli.
