Ionic Foot Detox Systems are used to rid the body of toxins accumulated by the consumption of unhealthy foods or drinks, breathing unhealthy air, taking drugs or being exposed to harmful chemicals. Because everyone has their own reason to have an ionic detox performed, it is important to have a customize treatments for different people. While we cannot go into details about how ionic detoxing can aid each specific condition, we can go over the basics. under most circumstances people do not need to undergo daily treatments. a person can experience excessive tiredness, dizziness, headaches, hunger or fatigue if they detox too often or for too long. However, if the unit is used too infrequently, you can expect the effects to be minimal. we recommended that the average healthy adult undergo 30 minute sessions twice each week for for a total of 10 sessions. Following the 10 sessions, a maintenance program of 1 session every week is recommended. the average healthy 13-17 year old should undergo one 15-20 minute session per week for 10 weeks. Following the 10 sessions, a maintenance program of 1 session every 14 days is recommended. For healthy 10-12 year old children, each session should run no longer than 10-15 minutes. Ionic detox is not recommended for children less than 10 years old. a person should not eat or drink anything during the session and should not participate in strenuous activity and should not eat anything for 15-20 minutes after a session.
These steps are recommended for most people in most situations. However, there are circumstances that may alter these guidelines. It can be beneficial to seek a professional opinion, as some conditions may call for changes that should be made to a specific detox program. some Ionic Detox Systems can be customized to alter treatment durations and target different elements in the body. With a more dynamic unit comes the ability to custom tailor a detox program to achieve different health objectives. For example, those recovering from illness and/or surgery may prefer more frequent maintenance treatments to aid in recovery. those who may be suffering from joint stiffness may want to set up their therapy to focus on targeting the areas of the body with the most pain. It is important to consult a health practitioner or other professional before a program has started. With sound advice the user will be able to maximize the effect of ionic detox.
In addition, it is important to take to take in specific nutrients that will help the body better function to release toxins. the goal is to bring the body back to optimal health. You should never undergo ionic detox without these four nutrients:
WATER: Drink 2/3 of a gallon or 2.5 liters of pure water daily that has a pH of 9.0 to 10.0. Alkalized water helps counteract acids ingested via food and produced by the body.
HEALTHY FOOD: the body needs plenty of the nutrients that are found in fresh fruits, vegetables, and grains. be careful of eating too many sweet fruits, though.
FIBER: In order to get the most out of an Ionic Detox Program is to make sure the colon is clean and functions properly. a diet that is high in fiber is a great way to clean and rejuvenate the colon, which will assist in the elimination of toxins from the body. most of the plants that are meant to produce the most fiber have been processed, taking out important parts of the fruit which oftentimes contain the most of the nutrients. Because of this, the best way to get the right amount of fiber in your diet is to eat whole fruits, whole vegetables and whole grains. if it is not possible to get your fiber this way, take a fiber supplement instead. There are great products available that are meant to be used in conjunction to a fiber-rich diet.
MINERALS: While ionic detox will change the body’s mineral levels and help it maintain homeostasis, studies have found that it can reduce some trace minerals that the body needs to maintain optimal health. therefore, it is important to always take a highly assimilable mineral supplement.
It is recommended that these four nutrients are taken when undergoing Ionic Detox treatments.
PROBIOTIC: Probiotics are composed of live microorganisms that are beneficial to the user by enhancing the body’s existing gut flora which live in the digestive tract. Probiotics can improve the function of the immune system and colon, thus aiding the body’s ability to fight toxins and increase the absorption of nutrients. Take probiotics three times per day, preferably a 100% plant based broad spectrum formula that includes a higher lactobacillus strain.
DIGESTIVE ENZYMES: Digestive enzymes break down food so that the nutrients contained therein can be absorbed properly. FISH OIL: Fish oil is recommended for a healthy diet because it contains the omega-3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), which help maintain normal serotonin levels and reduce inflammation in the body. All of these acids are found in oily fish, which collect them from the algae that they feed on. a diet that lacks EPA and DHA is harder on the body because of the metabolic work required to synthesize EPA and because of the use of EPA to metabolize DHA. we recommend that a person take a daily dose of omega-3 fish oil which should consist of two soft gels with breakfast and dinner.
