Some people swear by alternative medicine, while others refuse to buy into it. Neuromuscular Massage in Mandan offers a foot bath detoxification service that it says removes toxins from your body. I gave it a try today, and if those were toxins in my bath, that`s pretty gross.Tracie Bollinger, a neuromuscular massage therapist, has been providing foot bath detoxifications ever since she had her first one at a spa expo in Vegas. she felt great afterward.”Just think of it like you`re an engine. If your engine is clogged and you have had toxins, bad things in them, it`s not going to run as well. If you can purge your body of those toxins, your machine is going to run better. You`re going to feel better,” she says.Tracie says the colors that appear in the water are toxins coming from different body parts. There`s a long list that explains each one. she sees orange water the most, which she says means toxins from the joints.”Is this coming out of the black thing?” I ask.”Yes, it`s pulling toxins from your body right to the array. that black thing is called array,” Tracie says. One of the parts of my bath I was most disturbed by were the bubbles. Tracie believes those are alcohol byproducts.”Alcohol, which is a huge thing, with cosmetics, and lotions and colognes and shampoos and all that, have alcohol in them. those are byproducts we`re putting into our bodies we don`t even consciously think about,” she says. After 45 minutes of soaking, my water looked absolutely disgusting. But Tracie says she`s seen a lot more questionable stuff in other clients, especially from smokers or drinkers.”Ew. oh my gosh. look at that. That`s disgusting!” I say.I went into my foot bath detox today with a healthy dose of skepticism. Whether it sucked my toxins out or not, it sure was interesting to watch.Tracie says some of her clients have felt more energized or have been able to sleep better after their foot baths. I personally didn`t feel any different, but I sure was glad to wipe my feet off after.
