Being free from any illnesses is the aim of a lot of people at present. a great answer to having a good health is by going through detoxification frequently as this process takes away wastes from your body that causes any indications of sickness. this can be done by visiting a detox spa, starting a detox diet, or by using detox foot patches.

With the many places promoting detoxification, you must have heard about it before. there are plenty of different remedies being given in these detox spas which you definitely will enjoy. what is good about these places is that you can get away and relax while detoxifying your body. the disadvantage is that plenty of you may not have the time for this and also assume that the treatments will be quite expensive.

To really stay healthy, perhaps you must start doing a detox diet. Food that causes wastes to build up in your system should be avoided. the amount of food you eat isn’t limited as this isn’t a diet for getting rid of weight, though the kinds of food you eat will be restricted, certainly no junk foods and anything that seems to be causing the toxins to build up in your body.

If you don’t believe on a detox diet, there is still different options for you to detoxify. all you require are detox foot patches which you can utilize while you are sleeping. the toxins from your body will be absorbed during the night so the following day you will wake up feeling more refreshed. Easily use these patches for a couple of days until the toxins have exited your system.

To know more about detox foot patches, they were taken from Chinese techniques of reflexology and acupuncture. With these methods being around for years, it is likely foot patches are effective too.

Kiseiki Detoxification Foot Patches have just introduced to the market by a Japanese based company. there are too many scam detox patches from China that confused the users and consumers to choose the right type of detox patches.

When you make use of detox foot patch, it will extract body toxins naturally after some time and ensure a better health condition with the aid of acupressure and reflexology founded on Japanese principles.

The ingredients are 100% natural like bamboo vinegar, wood vinegar, chitosan, vitamin c, dextrin, fiber etc.

It is easy to apply these detoxification foot patches. you just need to apply on both of your sole with plasters provided and leave it until second morning.when you wake up from sleep in the morning, remove the patch and you will see the pile of toxins which have been removed from your body.

It is an effectual way to cleanse the foot and the whole body’s waste substances in a simple, safe and pain-free method. the way you will use to know that the foot patch is working for you is when you wake up from sleep and notice that you are more refreshing than the way you used to be.

Again, if the health problems you usually encounter begin to lessen, then know that the detoxification foot patches have had tremendous results on you. the darker the patch the more toxins in your system. It is recommended you use the patch for up to 5 nights to completely rid your body of harmful toxins residing inside them.

What is exactly in an ionic foot bath? Well, if you were one of the followers of this latest health and beauty craze which has taken epidemic proportions, the ionic foot bath, you are probably frustrated that you did not see any results.

Well, if you did not see any results from your foot spa detox program, you probably did not do all the right things or you never learned about what else you need to do while you use the ionic foot bath to detoxify yourself.

First, let’s talk about detoxification, how it works, and what organs typically are involved. Detoxification is basically cleaning your blood from impurities which can accumulate in our daily lives. These toxins can come from environmental pollution from both outside and inside, toxins we take in from food, and other toxins that we ingest through either drugs, cigarettes, or alcohol. all the toxins we take in get into our blood. It’s the liver’s job to filter the blood and processes the toxins to more harmless compounds which are then led to the kidneys. the function of the kidneys is to process the toxins even further and move them into the urine, which exits your body from the bladder through the urethra to either the penis in a man or the vagina in a woman. For more solid toxins, the intestines do the work. Bile is excreted from the gallbladder to help soften the solid toxins. These toxins are then turned into fecal matter and travel through your intestines and exit through the rectum. Urinating and defecating are the most common ways that our bodies naturally detoxify themselves.

When we are overwhelmed with toxins, however, it can be too much for the above mentioned organs to work and you absorb many of the toxins. These toxins then can have their affect in the body. You might not feel as good, or you might even feel tired. These are all signs that you need to detoxify.

The electrical ions in the ionic foot bath allows the liver and kidneys to be stimulated and to work better at detoxifying your body. the ionic foot bath, though playing a central role in detoxification, it should also be incorporated with diet and exercise.

Diet and the ionic foot bath Along with the sessions of the ionic foot bath, diet is very important. For example, we eat a lot of food that has chemical preservatives in it. this one of the largest sources of toxins that we ingest in our body. when having a detox regime involving an ionic foot bath, you should also start a special diet. Some of the ideas for such a diet include a wide variety of natural juices. Some of the recommended fruits for the juices include a mixture of kiwi, mango, and pineapple juice. this can be quite a tasty mixture, but you want to make sure that you use organic fruits. Avoid any fruits that look “pretty” and shiny. These fruits more than likely have chemical preservatives in them to make them look good for the display. Organic fruits tend to rot fast, because they do not have those preservatives. Get the ones that don’t look too appetizing. They may not look too appealing, but they taste just the same, if not better.

Vegetable juice is good too, especially if you are juicing. Typically, a good vegetable juice can be a mixture of tomato juice with garlic and green onions. Teas are very good as a supplement. Some interesting teas include nettle tea, but you can also enjoy mint tea and green tea.

The internet is full of good advice about how to supplement your spa detox program and you can get even more dieting instructions on there. You should also do many different exercises that are designed to relax your body. Avoid eating too many solid foods when you are detoxifying yourself, since the whole object of the liquid diet or juicing is to give your liver and kidneys a rest.

Question by Big D: How long does it take your liver to detox?
I’ve been unhealthy for a while now. I eat fast food, take sleep aids, and drink alcohol on a regular basis.
Bottom line, my liver isn’t in peak condition.

My question is how long does it take the liver to naturally cleanse itself? Does the length of an unhealthy lifestyle complicate the process?

Answer by Tiktaalik Yourmom
You’ve been sucked into a bunch of garbage pseudoscience. Your liver is constantly detoxifying the substances you put into it. Within a few hours of consuming alcohol, your liver has broken it down to harmless compounds and prepared it for excretion from the body.
Stop thinking in terms of “cleansing” the body. You’ve been abusing your body with this disgusting lifestyle, but that doesn’t mean that you’re “dirty,” only that your body is overworked and run-down.

After hearing about so many people who have been doing the lemon detox diet and losing weight in just a week, I decided to give it a try for myself since I needed to lose a few pounds before we went on vacation. My goal was just 10 pounds so I’d look better in my bathing suit at the beech, and when I started I was about a month away from the vacation. So anyway, I chose the diet because it’s all natural and it looked like a pretty easy way to lose weight fast. it definitely was just that and a whole lot more. I now understand why people are always saying they get an energy boost from the lemonade diet. I never really knew what that meant until I experienced it myself. Wow, just wow. plus I lost the 10 pounds and another 3 more in just 1 week!

There are various factors which lead to getting a person addicted the various drugs and alcohol. But only one factor leads them to get out of this mess and that crucial factor is the willingness or longing to quitting this addiction and to lead a sober life. Many people do so for their loved ones, many do so for themselves. Whatever the reason be, to face the uneasiness for denying body the pleasure it is used to may cause tremendous pain in body, requires lot of courage and a very strong will power. it needs lot of determination and courage to put your body through the painful experience. apart from these personal factors, external factors such as expert guidance, well equipped rehab, personal monitoring during recovery, individualistic recovery treatment, following approach during recovery and the most important to reform the thinking pattern of the newly sober to refrain from going back the addiction are the basic and most significant things one should look for while finding a right rehab. Nowadays most of the rehabs follow these guidelines and offer compassionate and sophisticated recovery treatment to their clients.

Right after admitting into a rehab an evaluation process, to measure the intensity of the addiction is carried out. Based on the outcome of these evaluations, the medical experts draft a personalized recovery plan for the addicts. The very fundamental and primary goal of those professionals is to get the toxins out of the body, so that the drugs can be effective in fighting against the cravings and foreign substances. Getting the toxins out of the body is called detoxification. as the name suggest, it detoxifies the body. this term does not limit itself to removal of toxins from human body, but it may also include the withdrawal period, caused due to denying the body the usual substance, to which the body is addicted.

in conventional medicine, detoxification can be achieved by decontamination of poison ingestion and the use of antidotes as well as techniques such as dialysis and (in a very limited number of cases) Chelating therapy. Many alternative medicine practitioners promote various other types of taking the poisonous substances out such as “diet detoxification,” but there is little evidence that such methods have any health benefits. most of the rehabs follow sophisticated drug detox methods. Alcohol detox gives a proper platform to impart recovery treatment. these methods help in getting the body cleansed and conditions it for a better sustainability.

i always feel run down and suffer from things like ulcers in my mouth and sore throats a lot..recently i decided to try a detox so i havent drank alcohol for 3 weeks all i have drank is water and greed tea.. havent smoked for a week and have been eating a health diet for about 3 weeks also. but to my suprise i dont feel any better at all..still tired..still feel run down..what is wrong with me…does anyone else feel like this? the only other thing is that i worry alot about my health i suppose you could call me a hypercondriac…do u think worry can make u feel ill? i know people say it but is it true?

Go see a doctor. you might want to take vitamins. your probably getting sore throats and mouth ulcers because your immune is weak and therefore subjecting you to be sick all the time.

to quit smoking and drinking for a week or two is not enough. the mouth and throat problem happened to me when i quit smoking and drinking but i suffered it for more than a month. keep drinking water and you better put some lemon in you green tea or water everyday.. seems like you have been drinking and smoking for a long time..

Sounds like stress / depression, however, you mentioned that you've not smoked for a week. Don't you think that the smoking might cause things like sore throats / ulcers? you have to give it time to work. it sounds like you're doing the right thing. It's not a magic cure.

Yes its very true. if you're into self help books at all (and I know not everyone is) try getting a book from your library called "Excuse me your Life is Waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn. its interesting reading for someone like yourself but not full of tons of complicated advice and instructions.

you need to go to the GP with a urine sample and be prepared for blood tests. it could be a number of different but totally curable things, but they will need to accurately diagnose the problem first.

could be that your body is just taking time to rid itself of toxins. dont give up yet, it may get better.

You doctor could give some blood tests, but you may be experiencing detox symptoms. if after some weeks / months you still feel tired/ill,and after you doctor has exhausted investigations, private medical investigations may help-along the lines of allergy / infection testing.

It sounds like you could be anaemic. you may need to go to the doctor for some iron supplements. Check your symptoms with the links below and make an appointment with your doctor.

Hope this helps and you feel better soon!

could be depression see your doc

it sounds like your body is just still getting rid of all the rubbish you've previously put in it. did you eat a healthy diet before giving up smoking and drinking? your body just needs time to adjust to all the good things you're putting in it so make sure you drink plenty of water every day, stay away from caffeine, and eat at least your five-a-day. you body needs protein, carbs, vitamins, and minerals to stay healthy and be able to repair itself. wholemeal pasta and bread is much better for you than white, and try not to have too much fat, salt, or sugar in your diet. sugar inhibits the bodies ability to heal itself so a lot is not good for you.

perhaps you should visit your doctor to get some general advice, about healthy diets too. he may do some blood tests to check there's nothing wrong with you biologically too. if you explain everything that you've been doing over the past 3 weeks or so, then he should also be able to tell you if what we've all been telling you is correct! we're not medically trained, so can only go on our own experiences.

good luck with your health, i hope you feel better soon.

You ask about the effect of worry on your health, and I believe you may be thinking of what is known as Psychosomatic Illness, ie., an illness that may be emotional or mental in origin but have physical symptoms. these illnesses are not imaginary; they are physical disorders in which both emotions and thought patterns are believed to play a central role, and usually develop when a person's disease-fighting ability is weakened due to stress. you also say that you worry a lot about your health and this, in itself, is a symptom that needs attention. People who stay healthy are generally those that are happy. you don't, however, mention if you've been to your GP or undergone any sort of tests to determine the cause of your ill-health, as you may have an infection or your body may be deficient in vitamins and/or iron. for instance, a sore throat that keeps returning and extreme fatigue, along with swollen glands, are symptoms of Glandular Fever and only a Paul Bunnell blood test would confirm such a diagnosis. if you are ill, or are vitamin/iron iron deficient, detoxing wouldn't be of any help and may even make you feel worse, and whilst cutting out alcohol, giving-up smoking and adopting a healthier diet would lead to long-term health improvement, you wouldn't feel the benefits after the short time of only 1-3 weeks. (Especially if you have an underlying illness). do consult your doctor in order to get to the bottom of your present ill-health and then continue with your efforts to improve your lifestyle. Hope you'll soon be feeling a lot better.

Mae it's because you have not been brushing your teeth as much as you should, I know that happens if you don't brush them as often.

sound like symptoms of stress or depression

Well done for stopping smoking! I did this six months ago and I know how hard it is. I suspect that your problems might be due to you not smoking. When I gave up, I had mouth ulcers, felt really agitated, had a headache for two weeks solid, felt anxious etc. plus, you have stopped drinking also (another well done!). your body is adjusting that is all. I suggest you get some good (not supermarket rubbish) multivitamin (try Veridian at health food shops). plus some high dose slow release Vitamin C – get from boots. try taking about 20 minutes of exercise per day – just walk around the block a couple of times if necessary – that will release the feel good endorphines naturally produced in the body. Worry about one's health is actually quite normal – many people do it – it is also a sign of anxiety but again, all quite normal. I have to admit I am a bit of a hypocondriac – always have been but since I have stopped smoking I have become much less so. When you smoke, every little twinge or pain you get you think – this is it, I've got cancer because you know you are doing something that is extremely bad for you. go to your GP, tell him you have given up and ask for a routine blood test – this will just check all the basic functions which I suspect are normal. after I stopped smoking for 8 weeks I paid for a BUPA health check (I also had a chest Xray). This can be expensive (£500 but includes lung function, ECG, full bloods, liver and kidney function, mamogram, smear, hearing, vision and a doctor consultation) but you can just have a full blood test which will reduce the costs massively – go to bupa.co.uk. This put my mind at rest that I had not done any damage after 20 years of smoking and really spurred me on. I still worry about my health from time to time – I do suffer with anxiety occassionally but this is normal – it's certainly not to be confused with depression and does not need medication. you have done really well, keep on going, honestly you will come out the other end feeling so much better and less anxious about your health. most people do one thing at a time but you have tackled all of them at once – maybe a glass of wine or a bar or chocolate will calm you down and give you a well earned treat – stay off the ciggies though! Best of luck. x
